Why do you need one?
As a Landlord you are responsible for the gas safety of your tenants. You must ensure that all gas appliances are working correctly and are safe to use.
Legionnaires disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia caused by the inhalation of small droplets of contaminated water containing legionella. All hot and cold water storage systems are likely to provide an environment where legionella can grow. It is the landlords responsibility to ensure their tenants reside in a safe environment and all water storage is free from the risk of legionella.
